Explore your talent, widen your horizon.

Design. Build. Connect. Jan De Nul Group shapes water and land. Worldwide. From complex offshore energy services, to large dredging and both land and coastal reclamation projects, to challenging civil construction programmes. Well integrated competences and investments lead to creative, sustainable and innovative solutions. In this way Jan De Nul Group delivers results that produce satisfied customers. Building a better future.

ACCORDING TO THE INDUSTRY'S NEEDS

Jan De Nul Group offers a range of offshore services:

  • Seabed intervention works.
  • Rock installation and ballasting.
  • Installation of submarine structures, cables and umbilicals.
  • Installation of offshore wind farms, including the installation of export and inter array cables, fabrication and installation of gravity based foundations, transport and installation of jacket or monopile foundations and high voltage stations, installation of scour protection around the foundations, and installation of the entire wind turbines itself.
  • Decommissioning of served offshore structures.

All these services can be offered as a comprehensive Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) package. Clients are increasingly seeking a complete, one-stop-shop solution for their projects – with an integrated approach from first designs to final installation. Jan De Nul Group’s deep expertise in marine design, procurement and construction engineering enables the Group to respond with a total package on an EPC basis, eliminating the risks for the client. Jan De Nul Group has an in-house engineering department that designs new equipment, or modifies existing equipment, as needed. Each offshore job brings new challenges. Vessels and equipment are constantly adapted to find the ideal solution to specific customer needs, even if it’s only for one particular project.

TRACK RECORD

Jan De Nul Group already completed numerous prestigious offshore projects across the world such as the construction of the offshore wind farm Nobelwind off the Belgian coast, comprising 50 turbines of 3.3 MW each in 2016, or the installation of export cables in the UK in 2018, for which brand-new trenching tools were designed and built in-house. Also in 2018, Jan De Nul secured its first offshore wind projects outside Europe: the design and installation of the offshore wind parks Changhua and Formosa 1 Phase 2, the very first offshore wind farms in Taiwan. In 2019, Jan De Nul secured a hat trick in Taiwan by winning the Formosa 2 project, neighbouring the Formosa 1 Phase 2 wind farm.

#WEAREITA

Imagine Think Act. Or ITA in short. What started as an awareness-raising programme became the way in which Jan De Nul Group works. It is the Group’s philosophy and culture. Imagine Think Act makes everybody imagine what is possible and put those ideas into action in ways that demonstrate care for the co-workers and the environment. And at the same time, it is the guarantee for sustainable, safe, creative and successful tailor-made solutions and operational control.

Every employee of Jan De Nul Group is aware of the fact that a good preparation and operational control are crucial for a successful and safe project, improved procedures and, last but not least, satisfied people: the Client, the environment and its own employees!

A DIVERSE AND SUSTAINABLE FLEET, READY FOR THE FUTURE

Through a constant pursuit of quality and technical innovation, Jan De Nul Group has a very modern and well-balanced marine fleet for all stages involved in the seabed preparation, wind farm installation, ballasting of structures, as well as in rock, cable and umbilical installation.

The new vessels and the advanced technology they take on board, have been designed by the internal design and engineering department. Moreover, Jan De Nul Group delivers its own dredging equipment to the shipyard, which is unprecedented in the dredging world.

Jan De Nul Group’s fleet features high-tech multipurpose installation vessels: the rock installation vessels Simon Stevin and Joseph Plateau, the most high-tech cable-laying vessel Isaac Newton, the jack-up vessels Vole au vent and Taillevent, and the next generation offshore installation vessels Voltaire and Les Alizés, both set to be delivered in 2022.
